Summer is here, and MUFA is gearing up to make it a legendary one! To pull it off, we need passionate volunteers to help us grow the game across the greater Madison area. There are so many places where MUFA would love to build but we just don’t have the people to get it done. That’s where you come in! Whether you have only a few hours a month or want to take on a bigger role, there is a place for you. Here's where we need help!
YCC Fundraising Coordinator — As I’m sure you’ve heard/noticed, things are getting expensive across the board. Due to that trend our highly successful YCC program is facing rising costs this year, and we need someone to coordinate fundraising efforts with our youth committee to keep these teams going strong. (~3–5 hours/month during the season)
Grant Writer — Both USA Ultimate and Madison Area Sports Commission have grant cycles supporting youth programming, and there are many other opportunities for grants that could support our youth initiatives out there. This person would also help identify grants we may be eligible for, gather the necessary information, and assemble submissions on time. (Project-based; ~10–15 hours per grant cycle)
Non-YCC Summer Youth Programming Coordinator — Not every kid who wants to play can fit into YCC, and we don't want anyone left out. This person would organize playing opportunities for those kids and coordinate the volunteers who make it happen. (~3–5 hours/week during summer)
Middle School FMP Coordinator — This person would organize and oversee regular outreach and engagement to middle school FMP players, building creative opportunities for them to play, build community, and develop a love for the sport that grows the next generation of our sport. (~3-5 hours/week during the school year)
Elementary Programming Director — This person would organize and oversee regular ultimate programming for elementary-age players, helping create the foundation for growth throughout our youth programs and create a new wave of Madison frisbee players. (~2–4 hours/week)
Newsletter Publisher — Help MUFA keep the community informed about events, opportunities, and updates on a quarterly to monthly basis. A great fit for anyone with a knack for writing or communications. (~2–3 hours/month)
Young Adult Representative — MUFA wants to make sure our programming stays relevant and exciting for younger players and get better at communicating with them. This person would serve as a voice for that community — attending occasional board meetings and sharing ideas and feedback. (~2 hours/month)
MUFA Board Member — Want to help shape the future of ultimate in Madison? Board members play a hands-on role in setting direction, supporting programs, and keeping the organization running strong. (~4–6 hours/month)
