Summer 2026 - One Day A Week (Mon. or Wed. Mixed)

Summer League 2026

Madison summer is a special time, and no Madison summer would be complete without Summer League! MUFA Summer League 2026 is on its way!

MUFA Summer League is a mixed-gender league featuring teams of all skill levels. Last season, we had over 120 teams and 2,500 players of all skill levels, so we encourage everyone from the newest beginner to the most grizzled veteran to join us on the fields of Madison and Fitchburg this summer!

Summer League operates using the “Swiss” system of standings. What this means is that we make the schedule one week at a time throughout the year, and the system endeavors to get you the best matchups against teams of a similar skill level. This leads to fun and exciting games as the season goes along!

When the game ends, the fun doesn’t have to! After the game, each team is encouraged to head to the Great Dane Pub and Brewery and use their beer card to get two free pitchers of beer to toast each other with after a great evening of ultimate!

MUFA Summer League has been a generational experience for many; years of taking to the fields with dear friends and family members and enjoying the best of recreational sport. We welcome you to join us in another year of it!

Registration will open the evening of Monday, April 20th.

What do you get with your Summer League Registration?

  • Up to 18 regular season games and up to 3 playoff games

  • After every game, your team gets two pitches of beer at one of the Great Danes located around Madison/Fitchburg

  • MUFA 2026 Summer League Team Jersey**

  • MUFA 2026 Summer League Disc**

**In order to receive these when the league begins, you must be registered by May 5th. Players who register after this date will receive their jerseys a few weeks into the season.

What Summer Leagues do we offer? (Regular Season: June 1 - July 30) (Playoffs: Aug 3 - Aug 13)

($72) Monday/Wednesday League

($72)  Tuesday/Thursday League

The two night a week leagues are the bread and butter of MUFA Summer League. Each team chooses a side of town as a preference, and we do are best to give you equitable games in a convenient spot. These teams will cycle through much of the league over the course of the season.

($57) One Day a Week (M or W)

Does two times a week feel like too much for your team's busy schedule? This league participates in the M/W league (listed above) but only plays once a week on either Monday or Wednesday. Once registration closes, we'll move your team into the M/W league and only schedule you on your preferred day.

($72) Small Group Signup

Don't have enough for a full team? No problem. Register in the small group signup! All you need is one or more other people, and we will join you with other groups to create a team for you to play on in the M/W Summer League.

Note: You must have at least half FMP (female-matching players) to be placed onto a team from the Small Group Signup.

NEW THIS YEAR

($72) Individual Signup

We know it is tough to find a team sometimes. If you can’t find a team through the team finder, you can try the individual signup. Individual signup participants will be placed on a team as space allows beside the Small Group Signup. You are not guaranteed to be placed on a team if you use the individual signup. Players will be refunded if space is not available.

To ensure your free disc and jersey on time this year, you must have a paid registration by MAY 5TH and your team has at least six paid FMP and MMP players. Teams that do not have a valid roster with 6/6 by May 5th will not receive their jerseys at the beginning of the season.

When and where is the Summer League?

Time: 6pm or 7:30pm start time during the start of summer, and games last for up to 90 minutes. All games will be scheduled for 6:30pm from July 13th through the end of the season.

Location: All around the Madison area. Teams can select which side of town they prefer to play on, but we cannot guarantee they will have that side of town every game.

Forfeits/Spirit Violations/Player Shortage/Notifications

People build summer league into their schedule, and it is unfair to them if their opponent can not field a team for any given game. If teams need to forfeit a game, they are required to notify MUFA and their opponents in a timely manner. Teams that repeatedly forfeit or do not have enough players to field a team may be removed from future weeks of play or the playoffs. In addition, teams can be removed from the playoffs or even the league altogether for repeated poor gamesmanship or other conduct violations, in accordance with our Complaints Policy. See the MUFA rulebook for more details.
